"One Old Broad Looks at Life and Death"
In this one-woman show, JoAn Segal, a woman in her 80’s, looks back at her long life with humor and pathos, using stories, songs, poems, and dance. Segal, a librarian, actress, and choral singer, has written hundreds of very short stories about her life experience. From these, she selects “just the right ones” for a particular audience, taking into consideration the length of time available, the character of the venue, and the backgrounds of the potential audience members.
First given four successful performances in Boulder in May, 2005, the show has been presented some 20 times in venues from coast to coast, each tailored to a special audience. |
